Tasty Treats from Around The World!
Here are some photos of different foods from different cultures around the world. Many I had the pleasure of trying and some were just so beautifully prepared and I needed the porn for later. Some of the pictures are dishes I had created myself! A lot of my blogs feature my experience having these dishes, meeting the chef, or making them!
NEPAL
Nepali Cana! The word food in Nepali is Cana or Khana as I have seen it spelled on restaurants in Kathmandu. There are many styles of Cana but my favorite and the style I ate the most was Newari style Nepali Cana! The flavors and textures of Newari style cana dance explosively in your mouth with an intense sensation of spicy and savory in a tango with simply made and freshly sourced ingredients. It doesn’t get more natural than this. During my time in Nepal, I got to meet the old ladies who harvested the rice and pick greens from my hike into the jungle for lunch. It was a truly humbling experience to see and know first hand where food comes from and how much work it takes for some people just to eat! THAILAND
This is a little taste for your eyeballs of what Thailand has to offer! Thailand had so many wonderful things to eat, even the Mexican food we found was better than anything I’ve had here in The States. Not to mention, the price was so so so affordable. I left for Asia and suddenly nothing made sense about my life back home, especially coming from living in The Bay Area!
